Okay, that's a relative term. We're new, so we're learning.
As we learn more, and more questions come in, we'll answer them here - or least attempt to do so.
The cool thing is that this is about awareness, not rules. So if you have a better idea, use it. Drop us a line, let us know your thoughts, share photos, stories.
The only thing we ask is to keep the message the same. One is Too Many. Stop. Think.
Does it have to be shirts?
No, but we think that's one of the most visible ways to get the message out. Jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts depending on weather...
Hardhat stickers are definitely more affordable, but they're not as visible, at least on personnel. Recognizing a great suggestion from a friend, however...we do have them HERE (add to cart to see quantity discounts)
What IS cool about the stickers is that you can put them not only on hard hats, but also ladders (the top steps of a stepladder?), scaffolds, aerial lifts, anchorage points, covers - anywhere a fall hazard exists!
We believe that, with so many of us espousing different safety messages and schedules, it was important to somehow establish a "branded" campaign. Something every trade can share, every jobsite can own, every man and woman can buy into...whatever time of day or actual form it takes...
We have a picture in our minds, sometime in the future we know...but think of Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium (or insert your home-town favorite here) full of safety-colored shirts...that's what we're hoping for.
That's how big this needs to be.
Does it have to be noon?
Lunchtime is important - some would say sacred.
We figured ONE MINUTE was simple enough...and the message important enough to delay lunch for...a minute.
The horns, bells, or whistles remind you that it's lunchtime anyway.
The concept of "once a year" just doesn't cut it for us...
The beauty of "you make the date, you set the time" - but with regularity - is that, eventually, the workers who share space, who travel from site to site, from employer to employer, will be exposed to the same message, many times a year. Perhaps many times a month.
Its that important.
Do I have to buy from your site?
Not at all.
In fact, we'll tell you where you can buy items yourself - or help you put a purchase site together that any of your employees/members/teammates/brothers and sisters or friends can purchase from.
Add your logo, choose different styles, purchase cups, hats, or bags instead of shirts......need large quantities? We can help, or point you in the right direction.

Initially, our thought was simply to create noise to signal the time to Stop. Think.
Is it possible that we will reach the level of frequency and importance that the signals will elicit a conditioned response?
